There are several ways you can get involved in this project. Kari and Asle need donations to cover their travel and living expenses, as they are not getting paid while serving at the Soddo Christian Hospital. They also have a need to buy medical equipment and accessories.
Until now the donations have been sent through World Medical Mission, and this organization has been of great help. However, their wish is to support short term projects only. As Kari and Asle's project would not be considered short term by their definition, we are very happy that the Mosvold family via the Astri Foundation is willing to help us. As before, the donations are tax deductable in the US and all the money benefits Kari and Asle's work; there is no administrative expenses. At the end of the year, the donors will receive a summary from Astri Foundation of their contributions.

We can also accept Credit Card donations via PayPal. Please note that PayPal charges a 2.5% fee for this service, so please consider this before using PayPal. Bank drafts and checks do not incur any fees. To donate via PayPal, please click the appropriate button at the bottom of this page or on the home page. For added convenience you can use the 'subscribe' button to set up a monthly recurring donation.
The Norwegian Seamen's Church in Houston will also collect any cash donations and forward to Astri Foundation.
To ensure continuity we encourage people to pledge a monthly donation. Please contact us and we will help arrange the payments.
All donations are tax deductable for US residents. All donors will automatically get a Thank You letter that will serve as a tax receipt at the end of the year.
