Raffles

We are pleased to announce a new raffle for the fall! We hope it will be at least as successful as its predecessors!

We have received some very nice donations, and we have decided to have only one drawing with several prizes. That means for every ticket you buy, you have multiple chances to win! Tickets are still only $5 and you can buy as many as you like. The tickets are for sale at The Norwegian Seamen's Church in Houston, and if you can't make it there in person, please contact them (houston@sjomannskirken.no or +1 281-998-8366), or contact us via the 'Contact us' link.
The drawing will be held at the Ladies' League's Christmas Luncheon in December 2010. The exact date will be announced later.

All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support Kari and Asle's work in Soddo.

Below you can see pictures of the prizes you can win! There are two handmade shawls from Ethiopia; a silver bracelet and a silver necklace/earring set, also handmade in Ethiopia. The last prize is a framed Quilt designed and donated by Elisabeth Munkvold and Per Bergstøl (pictures will be uploaded later).

Elisabeth and Per have also donated a Mezzotint print made by the Norwegian artist Jon Olav Helle. This will be raffled out separately. More information will follow later.
